Non-Slip Rug Gripper Pads

A rug that creeps across a wood floor ends up bunched at one end and rucked into a ridge somebody catches a toe on. These transparent pads anchor it down. The set of four squares, 2.5 inches on each side, holds the rug corners against the floor so the whole thing stays flat and square instead of travelling a little further with every crossing.

Fitting one takes about a minute. Peel the backing from one face, press the pad onto a clean patch of floor where a rug corner will sit, then lift the top release tape and press the rug edge down onto the exposed adhesive. Holding from both sides at once is what stops the corner curling as well as what stops the rug sliding. The pads work on ceramic tile, wood, marble and laminate, which covers most hard floors in a house or an office.

The adhesive is formulated to release from the rug backing and the floor alike, so lifting a rug to vacuum underneath does not tear the weave or leave a grey square of glue on the boards, and each pad goes back down as long as its face is still clean and tacky. Being clear, they stay out of sight under a rug edge. They earn their place in homes with children or pets, where rugs get shifted most. Four pads are included.
